Florida DOR publishes gross receipts excise tax index costs for pure gasoline, industrial gasoline, electrical energy

The Florida Department of the Treasury published index prices on May 21 to calculate gross income tax for the period July 1 to June 30, 2022 for the sale or transportation of natural or industrial gas, and for the transportation of electricity. Starting with customer invoices on or after July 1, distributors must use index prices when completing their excise tax return. The index prices for natural or industrial gas per 1,000 cubic feet are $ 22.96 (residential), $ 11.50 (commercial), and $ 6.14 (industrial).
