Ohio Legislature Passes Alternative Zone Tax Credit score Enlargement

Investors with no Ohio income tax liability could earn and sell the state’s version of Opportunity Zone tax credits under legislation (S.B. 225) the state House and Senate passed Wednesday.

The 2017 tax law created federal capital gains perks for investment in more than 8,700 designated census tracts. Ohio is among the states that have enacted their own opportunity zone incentives.
