Washington DOR Pronounces Annual Excise Tax Filers Now Required to File, Pay Electronically

The Washington Department of Revenue (DOR) Jan. 20 announced that businesses that file their state excise taxes annually are now required to file and pay electronically beginning with their 2020 return due on April 15. The DOR will no longer be mailing paper returns to businesses. The DOR encouraged taxpayers to create an account in advance to file their returns on time and elaborated on the benefits of electronic filing.
