Washington Liquor and Hashish Board Proposes Excise Tax Regulation on Marijuana Producer License

The Washington Liquor and Cannabis Board April 28 proposed a regulation on marijuana producer license privileges, requirements, and fees. The proposal includes measures to: 1] expand the current Tier 1 canopy to 4,000 square feet of production canopy from 2,000 square feet; 2] set the Tier 2 canopy to 4,000 square feet to 10,000 square feet of production canopy from 2,000 square feet up to 10,000 square feet; and 3] add value to the Tier 1 producer license type to support business viability and sustainability and create an opportunity for the producers to become more competitive in the state cannabis…
