Livingston County points occupancy legal guidelines reminder | Native Information

GENESEO – The Livingston County Board of Supervisors is reminding short-term vacation rental property owners and managers to follow local vacation property occupancy laws, including the collection and remittance of the Hotel and Motel Room Occupancy Tax.

“With so much to see and do in our area, we expect more travelers than ever before will choose to stay in short-term vacation rental properties located within the County,” said Livingston County Treasurer Amy Davies in a statement. “It’s important to the county and our local tourism industry that all laws, including the collection and remittance of the Hotel and Motel Occupancy Tax, are followed. Livingston County will continue to robustly enforce all laws regarding the use of short-term vacation rental properties, along with hotels and motels, and I remind all owners and guests of their responsibility to follow them.”
